Blue Line Extensions

Two possible extensions to the Blue Line could bring 24/7 rapid transit service to major Chicagoland job centers. The Northwest Extension would run from O’Hare to Schaumburg, connecting Chicagoans to hundreds of thousands of jobs in the I-90 Corridor. The Blue Line West Extension would stretch from Forest Park to Oak Brook, providing access to jobs in the Illinois Technology and Research Corridor along Interstate 88. Both extensions would serve downtown, reverse commuters, and suburb-to-suburb travel.
