The Lime Line would create new West Side rapid transit to serve north-south travel needs outside the Loop. This project would extend from the CTA Blue Line (O’Hare Branch) south along Cicero Avenue to Midway, then turn east to connect with the Red Line at 95th Street. It would provide South Side residents better access to O’Hare, Midway, and industrial corridors, and it could take the form of either CTA rail or Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
