Red Line Extension
The Red Line Extension will add 5.3 miles to the CTA’s fastest and busiest train route, extending it from 95th Street to 130th. Fast, frequent rail service would connect residents of Chicago’s Far South Side to hundreds of thousands of jobs in the Loop and North Side. This project would also allow CTA and Pace to streamline bus service on the South Side and has been identified as part of the region’s current long-range plan, GO TO 2040.
