Yellow Line Extension
The CTA Yellow Line Extension would add approximately 1.6 miles to the Yellow Line, extending it from Dempster Street north to Old Orchard Road. The project would utilize an existing Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way, as well as new track structures along the Edens Expressway (I-94). This project would provide rail service to north suburban commuters in transit deserts, and it would provide better connections to CTA and Pace bus routes.
